Contact lenses???
Ok I’m sort of an contact lenses challenged person who’s planning to wear them for the first time… so any cautions or advices would be helpful…and I’ve heard that 2-4 weeks lenses are better and more comfortable than yearly ones. Is that true? And do they cost as much as the annual lenses?

First of all, it is NEVER okay to wear your contact lenses to bed. Ever. We have all been guilty of it but it’s very bad for your eyes. Make sure you always wash your hands and just experiment with the different types of lenses. I use the monthly Acuvue Oasis. Clean your contacts every night. If your eyes do get dry, get the drops for soft contacts lense wearers. Your opt. will take you through the process of getting them in and out a few times. Also, it helps at first if you have short nails so your less likely to scratch your eye. Contacts are wonderful, just make sure you are sanitary when using them. Never share, etc. Good luck!
advice…just practice taking them in and out a few times. usually your optomitrist takes you thru that. i use 2 week lenses, and i’ve heard from people that the yearly ones can tend to dry out your eyes more. not sure bout cost tho. it rly varies
yes, get two-week or monthly ones, whatever you are most comfortable with…also, when you first start, be prepared to spend up to 10 minutes on putting them in…well, maybe I’m just challenged that way, but I just started wearing contacts (like three days ago) and it takes me a little while to get them in…lolz…good luck! =)
always make sure your hands are clean. i wear weekly wear hydro-clear. they are comfy. they say not to sleep in them but i do and just add drops in my eyes. but it is best you take them out.
My optometrist doesn’t even sell the yearly ones anymore: they are not as safe as the disposable ones.
I used to wear hard contacts, and I’m terrible at taking out the soft ones, but I wear the Night & Day lenses, so I only have to change them every month. I’ve worn the Night & Day lenses for over 2 years, and never had a problem and my eye doc says my eyes are healthy and getting enough oxygen.
Hi! My advice would be to make sure you clean ur contacts each time you put them in and take them out. Also, you shouldn’t wear them for too long of a period of time. I usually wear them from like around 10 to 10. sometimes a little bit longer, sometimes a little bit shorter. But when you first start wearing them keep them in for a shorter period of time. Once you get used to them you can keep them in longer. I have two week lenses, acuvue hydraclear, and I love them. I couldn’t tell you about yearlyl contacts because I’ve never had them, but 2 weeks are good. GOOD LUCK!! hope i helped
